1. Create your presentation
Did you know there are other sources for PowerPoint slides besides what is available in PowerPoint? Have a look at these sites to see if there is something that will make your presentation different to everyone else’s.
Remember though, this is a business presentation so choose something that looks professional.
Did you know there is such a thing as death by PowerPoint? Watch the following video to make sure you don’t “kill” your audience.

For this assignment try and use items that are free for personal and educational purposes like:
2. Choose your business name
Remember you cannot choose a name that is already used by another business. Use this link to check to see if your name is available.
3. Design your Logo
When designing your logo it is important that it is original and cannot be confused with another company in the same industry. This is part of the law that deals with trademarks.
“The purpose of a trademark is to protect your business’s brand identity in the marketplace. To use another shoe company as an example, the Adidas trademark of three white stripes lets people know that the shoes they’re about to buy were designed and made by the Adidas company. If a company begins selling shoes with two white stripes, people could easily think those shoes also are Adidas shoes. Not only does Adidas lose money from the lost sale, but they also lose consumer confidence, if the similar looking shoes are inferior in quality” (Jenkins, 2016).
Read the following article for more information about trademarks including logos:

4. Create your website
When creating your website, the same rules for images apply. Make sure you are using Creative Commons images and make sure you include a credits page to give credit to the people who supplied your images and any other material.
5. Write out your planned 5-minute speech ready for your presentation
When writing your presentation make sure you only put the key points on your slides and not whole sentences as recommended in the Death by PowerPoint video.
6. Create your bibliography
Your bibliography should be in APA format. Use our referencing guide to help you.
