ACKNOWLEDGING YOUR SOURCES
- Write down where you got your information from in a Reference List/ Bibliography, and begin to practice in-text referencing.
Note: From Years 7 & 8 students need to be able to demonstrate respect for intellectual property by applying practices that comply with ethical and legal obligations surrounding ownership and use of digital products. This includes using referencing conventions, using and attributing creative commons materials and adhering to copyright obligations.
This means you should include a reference list/ bibliography when ever you complete a research task to acknowledge where you got your information and ideas from, even if your teacher doesn’t ask for it. It gives your work academic integrity and is one aspect to helping you avoid plagiarism.
