“There are 887 giant stone heads on Easter Island. Some stand up. Others lie down in fields and hillsides. Some are still in the rock quarry, not yet finished. These statues are called moai. What is their purpose? Who made them? How did people move them? There is still much to learn about the statues of Easter Island.”
