Atlantis

The story of Atlantis was written by Plato in ancient Greece in 380 BC. Plato said Atlantis was an advanced civilisation with a magnificent city that disappeared in 9600 BC (11 500 years ago). It was said to have sunk into the sea and vanished. Since Plato’s time people have argued about whether the story was true or not. The story has fascinated people for more than 2000 years and inspired searches and hundreds of books, articles and films.
